MinistriesIn RUF, we believe that ministry takes place along one of three avenues: large groups, small groups, and on a one-to-one level. Jesus himself practiced ministry this way.Large Groups Our large group meetings in RUF are held on Tuesday nights at 8pm. We meet in the Elrod Commons Marketplace on campus. These gatherings are generally around an hour long and incorporate music, singing, fellowship and a message from the Scriptures. ![]() Small Groups Small groups in RUF can take on many different looks. Our main small group ministry takes place on Sunday nights during the school year. Sunday Night Fellowship is a time of reflection, fellowship, sharing and prayer. We gather at 8:45 pm at the Alumni House on campus for a brief time of singing and fellowship before we split up into our discussion groups. The discussions typically center on the previous Tuesday night's message. We also offer a freshmen guys and a freshmen girls small group. Time and day to be determined. Throughout the year, there may also be various, student-led small groups popping up on different topics. Check back here for more info on those. One-to-One One on one ministry simply looks like spending time with others: your neighbor, roommate, classmate, frat brother or anyone! In RUF, students are encouraged to reach out to others in this capacity to demonstrate the love of Christ in a real, tangible way. Jon also meets with students one on one. No topic if off limits!
